Drought in the Horn of Africa
The GMM has decided to adhere with its own contribution to the call of "Agire", the Italian Agency for emergency response, for the collection of funds to respond to drought in East Africa.
The situation in the Horn of Africa is dramatic: it is estimated that 12 million people risk starvation and thirst. The GMM has been operating in Africa for decades, but it does not operate in the area affected by drought. It anyway considered to interpret the intentions of their benefactors in devoting, through "Agire", an initial contribution of 5,000 euros to the relief of those populations.
