A Soiree for Tibet
A small GMM delegation (including Balbo), invited by Michil Costa, participated to a charity soiree organized by the Costa Family Foundation at the La Perla hotel in Corvara (Alta Badia).
The soiree was organized to collect funds to help the Tibetan refugees, and Mrs Jetsun Pema (sister of the Dalai Lama) participated. During her speech, she underlined the importance of giving refugee children (many of which are orphans) the opportunity to receive an education in their own language in order to retain thei cultural roots.
The Costa Family Foundation projects in favor of the Tibetan people exiled were presented: it consists of distance support, and the construction of a large Tibetan university complex and a female boarding school.
As requested by Michil Costa, Alpidio Balbo made a speechi too. He was accompanied by Roberto Andriolo, Francine Reuter and Marco Spadaro.
