From Benin to Turin
The Santa Croce Parish, Turin, has a special relationship with Benin, to which it has been devoting for many years the donations collected during Advent. This connection has strengthened over the summer, thanks to the presence of two priests from the West African country, who have brought their contribution to the life of the parish community, led by Don Roberto Populin.
For the second year, Don Okry Magloire, who comes from the diocese of Cotonou and is currently in Rome for his studies, stayed in Turin until the end of July, working in particular to the "Estate Ragazzi" (a summer group for kids) of Santa Croce. In August he was substituted by Father Jacques Mahougnon Agossou (Porto Novo diocese), national director the Pontifical Missionary Works of Benin. Both have known for many years the activity of Alpidio Balbo and the GMM.
By their presence, Don Roberto wrote on the website of Santa Croce, "they help us to live a Christian summer."
