Two containers for Benin
During the month of September, two containers will be shipped from the GMM to Benin with the help of the Medici dell'Alto Adige per il Terzo Mondo. (South Tyrol Doctors for the Third World). They will contain medical equipment, agricultural equipment and other materials intended for medical centers, assistance and training supported by the Group.
This year, numerous donations of medical supplies and equipment have been given by public and private companies:
- A tractor with trailer and two chain saws for the agro-pastoral center planned by THE Caritas of Parakou;
- For the same center, a pallet of items of hardware donated by the "Merania" store in Merano and 65 bunk beds donated by the Trento mountaineers society and the "Pedrotti" Refuge of the Group of Brenta;
- Twenty computers and a printer to set up a computer room in the school of the Comboni Fathers in Tabligbo, Togo;
- Children bikes donated by Zanolini Bike Professional in Bolzano;
- Beds for the medical center "Salome" in Bohicon and the female center in Tchaourou, donated by the Seisegg retirement home (Pitsch Foundation, Merano);
- A sonographic, two beds for surgery, cots for babies, a spirometer and a hemofiltration donated by the company health in South Tyrol and a supply of medical products donated by “Ladurner Hospitalia”, Merano.
- A radiological skeletal room and an orthopantomograph donated by the Martinsbrunn Clinic of Merano will be sent to the N'Dali Hospital (under construction).
